Bet you didn't see that coming, did you?
Skiing, I mean.
Day six on the mountain.
In spite of Maddie's being a bit intimidated by Moonbeam (she takes it very very slowly, much more slowly than her skill necessitates), and her getting exhausted because of that, they were both hollering "Moonbeam!!" for the first chair.
"Uh... why don't you head up on Link, to warm up your muscles, first, then get on Moonbeam?" I asked. "I'll meet you up there." And so their mama walks up the mountain, so that she might get a few shot of the babes, doing their thing.
It's really beautiful, this mountainside of ours.
When we got our passes the idea was that we'd all come together, the first few times.... there are boots and bindings, trails (forks) to navigate and steep parts to traverse.
This day, the babes were at the car for not even five minutes, I don 't think, getting on their boots, pants, hats, gloves, goggles, jackets....
there they go. They're walking off, calling "See ya up there!" over their shoulders, while their dad and I are still packing up our stuff.
It's all the good stuff, now.
