Friday

Friday is our Unschoolers day.
This makes me happy.
We thought at first that we'd hold a Play once or twice a month.... and then decided that it needed to be every week, and people could come as they could.
We figured that if you had to miss a meeting, two more weeks was a long time to not see everyone. How were we going to build relationships on that?
This was our third week, and I have to say, I love this group.

Eventually we had teeth brushed and hair combed and shoes found and water packed and the dogs ready (at home) for the day.

Off to pick up lunch, and the 25 minute drive to the park.  Going a bit far, today.

Mamas crowded with babies under a couple of small trees, in the shade.  Crowded is good... makes for easy intimacy.

The children ran wild on the playground and swings, then wild in the woods, which were close behind the park.

Nicholls Park

They chased and climbed and helped eachnother up the steep ravine and climbed trees and carried big sticks and found mushrooms and laughed and shouted and played Capture the Flag.

It was lovely.

When Maddie and Trev were done, we headed toward home, and on the way we decided we'd stop at Costco, making our once-a-fortnight trip.

Friends at Costco!
Which was fantastic, as these two had been bemoaning not seeing their beloveds in weeks.

So, that meant--

more loving.

It was a beautiful day, and served to remind me what a rich and full life I have.
I am so grateful.  ♥

So good.

  4. Isn't it great to have regular meetups with local unschoolers?!
No talk of curriculum. Relaxing, laughing, and enjoying the company of others who get your life.
