the good stuff

wild cacophony outside, in the backyard.
chickadees
junkos
robins
finches
sparrows
doves
quail
and
pine siskins.

beautiful ruckus.

laundry.

minecraft and skype... zoo building.
google maps for the other one.

whole wheat crepes with berries and powdered sugar.
plus cream cheese for Mama.

run.
in the sunshine.
In order to help Trevy over his winter blues, we've been outside as best we can!

(that's the last of the blue sky, for a while.)

home.
and lunch.
and skype
and google maps again.

Quarto!

Totally Tut--a taboo name (the cheeeese, you know), in our house it's known as The Pyramid Game. :)

google maps
again!
and skyping for the other.

checkers!

he won.
against my best efforts and wishes.

and
talking--

talking of a different sort.

talking
of happy
and silly
and quirky
and fun.
Don't cry, Mama--don't cry!

chocolate chip cookies.
by Mama and Trev.

and now it's time for a little supper, and in short order a little Dr. Who.

All
is
well.

And I am so incredibly grateful that I get to say that.

  1. I was reading _The Name of the Wind_ by Patrick Rothfuss today and came upon this quote that made me think of your Trevyn :)

"Abenthy gave me an appraising look. I'd been waiting for it. It was the look that said, "You don't sound as young as you look." I hoped he'd come to grips with it fairly soon. It gets tiresome being spoken to as if you are a child, even if you happen to be one."
