at home

Some days you just have to start out with chocolate chip cookies.

 So be it!

Few chapters of Mrs. Frisby.

We have two art coloring books, Art Masterpieces to Color, and Masterpieces: A Fact-Filled Coloring Book.  Today I handed one to Trev, and told him to choose something that he'd like to color (and if the first wasn't satisfactory, he could look in the second).
The Mona Lisa!
Maddie was looking for animals, so she opted for the second book, and chose Don Manuel Osorio de Zuniga by Goyo.
My favorite is John William Waterhouse, so...  :)

What do you want for your medium?

Chalk pastels?  Oil pastels?

 Markers?  Crayons?

Watercolours?  Paints?

It's been a while since we've gotten that one out.
The first two games I took... easily... the second two, Trev beat me!  Easily.  :) (He snuck in some strategy that I didn't see coming!)

Guess Who.
They teamed up.
Funny... we all chose Crocodile!

Their turn!

"Let's play Mammoth Hunt!  The same way we did last time!"

We love The Amazing Mammoth Hunt.   We used to love the "find it on the map" way; now the last two times we've played, we've played the 'clues' way.  Either way, it's a super fun way to get to know world geography.
I got to win today!  Woot!

Now we have research and computer play.... and I hear Daddy coming in.
An' he's bringin' supper.

All is well, here.

  1. I loved Guess Who! Used to play it with my brother all the time. Would love to have one like yours...the last one I found was made very cheap and broke. I think my kids would enjoy playing that game. We don't do well with board games that have lots of pieces.

I cannot believe how big your kids are getting! I know it's been a while since I've been by, but wow!

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!
