In May : Here They Come

There is an old verse,

somewhere,

Clematis

about May's Garden.

Blackberry

I don't remember how it goes,

Strawberry

but I do know

Chives

that May is the composer

-and conductor-

Peony

of a most lively,

Apples!

fanciful

Cherry

tune.

Phlox

The spirit of it

goes something like...

Raspberry

"Every single day,

this world grows.
Peach

Every single day,

it changes."
 Grapes

And I so love

 Gazania

this exhilarating

Star Flowers

and breathless

 dance!

  1. One of my favourite dances. :)

Btw...do your gazania overwinter? I had some last year...but they are considered annuals here. I tried to sow seeds I had saved but they have not germinated. Too bad. I loved them so - same colour as the one in your picture. :)

  2. Debbie - sorry, forgot to answer you.
I planted gazanias before, but they were on the berm (same place as this year) and the berm was tilled and then left alone last year... so nothing was there. This year we started it over again.
So I don't know. ?? The soil is really rich this year, so if I can keep Annabelle off of it, it's primed for perennials. We'll see what comes back!
