the gardens

the good thing about micro-gardens
(well... actually there are lots of wonderful things about them, but the good thing here)

is that when you stir, weed, shape, plan for, plant, and mulch two or three in an afternoon
-no mater how small-
there is a wonderful, blissful feeling of accomplishment.

it doesn't matter to me in the slightest what another's idea of Garden is.  mine are all gardens.

the fenced garden.
the herb garden.
the shade garden.
the green garden (this is the pond garden--all green and white).
the medicine garden.

the fairy garden (which is the butterfly/hummingbird garden).
the rose patio.

the berm.

the other patio garden.
the "side".
the front garden.
the side yard.

see?  lots.
but even if you have a hundred gardens...

if you love thoroughly only one, of an afternoon..

it will most certainly
-and profoundly-

love you back.

  3. Ahhh, thank you so much for your blog. I don't subscribe to many anymore, but I look for yours every day--they bring such a feeling a peace and serenity and remind me that I can have that as well, if I so choose.

    Thank you!

  7. You've inspired me to get off my depressed butt and sort out my garden (rather scruffy and unloved looking, even for a winter garden). Thanks :)
