tuesday : just right

The first thing on Madeleine's mind this morning was a terrarium for her box elder bug.  Which she put together and capped entirely by herself... with a paper towel top and a rubber band.  An just in case, a few air holes punched by an upholstery needle.  There. That outta do it.

Had to pack some stuff for a day Out, and the children were a fine help with that.

Time to meet our friends at the movie!  Kung Fu Panda 2.

To the aviary!

And to dinner.

We're late for the Physics show!

A little bit of play, then Julie discovered that there was hiphop music and break-dancing out on the library's plaza.    (Alas, batteries no bueno, so no photos.)

And lots more running, exploring, and dancing from the children.

It's a good life, my friends.

  1. Yes it is! I need to make one of your kind of days happen for me; they look so fun! :)

  2. That sounds like a very full day with great hands-on learning opportunities!

  3. What a great day! Movies, birds, physics, dancing - sounds just about perfect to me :-)

  4. The first time I browsed this (in Bloglovin') I thought, What's with Scott Hamilton?

Now, that I have to time to sit down and read it...I see--Physics! Not...Olympic figure skater and cancer survivor. Got it.

I loved your day--such fun! I would love to visit an aviary!

  5. What a wonderful day! Flat Stanley arrived. The kids were so excited. Thank you for sending him. I talked about him and you all in my most recent post ~ A day in the life.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!
