Handprint Mittens

We've been making handprint mittens for a few years, and this is what it has looked like over those years.
So fun for babies, and so sweet for Mamas and Grandmas!

We begin with tracing both hands on a piece of felt.

We cut it out along with another piece of felt for the other side of the mittens.

Get out the bits and bobs. Glitter, wood pieces, buttons, sparklies... whatever you have.

You can opt to sew or glue first, or you can decorate first.

You'll have to handle them carefully when you sew and stuff if they're already prettied.
Sewing (or gluing) first is better I believe, but that means decorating one side and then letting it dry before you start on the other.

Stuff 'em.

Sew a piece of yarn at the corner of each mitten to attach them together.

Hang them up on your holiday tree.

So, so sweet.

LOVE these. Now, if only I could pry Isaac away from the computer long enough to want to do a craft with his mama. *Sigh*
