the tree

Usually our - perhaps I should say the Mama's - tree consists of victorian baubles, little gold bells, glass orbs with roses painted on them, etched with gold... always alit with little white twinkling lights.
Not this year.
For a number of reasons, but mostly just because, time ran out and we found ourselves with less than a week before Christmas and an undecorated tree.
So this is what came of it.
Last night.
The decorations have already changed, and I'm thinking they probably will again.
How fun.
So far no Star Wars toys or dinosaurs, but we have a few days left....
I'll look forward to it.

  1. Thanks Carri!
    I like it. :)

  2. I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE Raggedy Ann!!!! And I love her more on your tree! That's awesome.

  3. OMG!

I love that tree! How fun that you guys have made it so interactive with changing the ornaments and all.

You're such a sweet even put colored lights on!

  4. I'm about to blog about our 'interactive tree''s full of stuffed animals, plastic animals, cookie cutters, candy, and lots of other things that get rearranged all the time. My kids are having so much fun with it...they just gather around it and play for hours! :)

Love the raggedy Ann, she reminds me of being 2 at my grandmother's house.

On a side note, do you have a gerbil or hamster? We're trying to decide between the two:

    Merry Christmas!

  5. Hi Stephanie -- Love your tree. Raggedy Ann was my daughter's most-loved toy when she was little. She was loved so much that she was mostly bald and had to have her legs sewn back on two or three times.
Congrats on getting the tree decorated. Ours (the big one) still has just lights. And a chicken head.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!
